i'm going to try to read the entire Lord of the Rings trilogy (including the Hobbit), before the movie comes out...

i'm about 40 pages into the hobbit...

A good series to read is Stephen King's "Dark Tower" series. There's four in it now, though unfortunately the next one won't be out until sometime in 2003 according to stephenking.com. The DT series isn't horror, it's actually a bit of a departure from what he usually writes.

Hey Brett, how fast do you read? I can't vote without knowing if you consider yourself to be a slow, average, or fast reader ... and do you have anything else going on that would take away time from reading? The holidays tend to get pretty busy for most...

actually, due to extenuating circumstances, i won't be able to devote much time to reading at all. an opportunity for a new job has come up and they require an A+ certification in order to be considered (but i'll get the job once i get the A+). so, studying will now take up the majority of my free time...
