I feel like I'm talking to myself this week.
I think the "week off" hurt our traffic a bit. A few things that I'll mention on a related note:
1. I'm going to send an e-mail blast to all of our members in the next day or two. This will basically just confirm that yes, we're back online and you can come back now. :) It'll also offer a brief explanation of what happened and what we're doing to prevent a similar problem in the future.
2. We're going to be moving to a new server on a new host in a week or so. The specs on the new servers are awesome and the new host has a lot more redundancy and better backup procedures.
3. LearnOutLoud.com will be launching in a month or so. When that goes live I'll be using a lot of the surplus banner space to promote TruthAddict. The audience that we get there should be pretty mature and intellectual so I think some of those individuals will make nice additions to TA.
Overall, I'm very excited about the next couple of months for TA. We've kind of been at a standstill for a while traffic-wise and although that's not necessarily a bad thing I feel pretty strongly that things will change (hopefully for the better) in the coming months.

Cool stuff, Jon.
I know you need to move the site because of the current host's backup procedures. But to me the site performance here is awesome and always has been. I've often lamented the fact that CT isn't on this platform.
That's great news about the banner ads on the new site. That really would be cool to get some fresh opinions in here.
But mostly my loneliness this is week comes from the fact that Orin and Dave aren't here. My week isn't complete without them hollering at me about something. :D

I could take a stab at it.
Where did they leave off?

Nah, arguing with you is no fun. Orin and Dave both argue the same way I do -- in lengthy blathering diatribes.
You, on the other hand, argue in three or four word posts (that usually mean as much as a lengthy blathering diatribe from anyone else).

For the rest of us: LUGUBRIOUS (http://www.m-w.com/cgi-bin/dictionary?book=Dictionary&va=lugubrious&x=11&y=10)
With the extra uni teaching - I've been run off my feet with marking/writing as well as all my other jobs. I do have a tab open in Mozilla to respond to the Torts thing ... but I still haven't found the time to sit for half an hour and respond.

I'm pretty sure something terrible has happened to Dave. If I had to guess I'd say he's probably naked in a holding cell in NYC right now with the words "MoveOn.org" markered across his chest and "Anyone but Bush" across his back. And there's a possibility he's intoxicated. I'm not sure about that, but probably.
Is there like some kind of protestor hotline you can call to see if people you know are in jail?
Probably - but if you ring it you'll be noted as a collaborator and the secret service will come by and deport you to gitmo.
