don't know where to post this

Hi...
I've been wanting to post here, but I've been stressed and busy, but hello everyone.:) I have a web site that I'd like to promote about substance abuse and protecting children but I don't want to bother anyone. I'd like a suggestion of where I post about it and I have a message I want to post about looking for volunteers to help me promote it. Any suggestions?

Thanks for your post. Your intentions for your site sound noble and I applaud you for that. We're very interested here at TruthAddict in bringing together people who want to make the world a better place.

As for promoting your site, we will have to ask that that be kept to a minimum here. For starters, we do have a "no advertising" policy. You are welcome to include a link to your site in your sig (as you have done) and I'm fine if you want to make an occasional post (in this forum) looking for volunteers. However, it's important that this be kept to a minimum given our policies.

I would also encourage you to look at other avenues to promote your site. Unfortunately we don't have a ton of traffic here at TA (yet!) so I'm not sure how many people you'll be able to reach through our site. There might be some other place on the Net where you could more effectively reach potential volunteers (e.g., I know there are some sites that specifically serve as volunteer "clearinghouses").
