Well, MCSELive is read-only for a couple of days. Don't know what I'll do if I can't post to Miscellaneous on that forum... I know! I'll post over here. I guess my job has gotten kind of dull. Hard to face a day here without my MCSELive fix.
Anyway, to get something rolling, what did you all think of the American flag and presentation at the Olympics opening ceremony? I was very moved, but I also wondered if it was appropriate, given that the Olympics is an international, not U.S., event.

HI Mirty,
I know how you feel, I'm going through cold turkey right now. My first cup of tea at work in the morning just doesn't tast the same when I'm not reading MCSELive.
I didn't actually see the opening ceremony of the games due to the time diffrence but if you are talking about the flag that came from the WTC then I think it was appropriate. It was a symbol of what happened there to people from 50 diffrent nations (as long as this point is not forgotten, it wasn't just an American tradgedy). The Olympics are about global unity and hopefully these games will be another step on the road to us all working together as one regardless of natioality, religion, race etc....
Hope what I've said makes sense.

It's amazing how many questions I've needed to ask over the past few days but haven't been able to!
MCSE Live! will be back up in a few hours. Hopefully you can hold on that long! :D

I'M NOT GONNA MAKE IT! I want my MCSELive!!!:(
Relax. :) MCSE Live! is back up. Only now it is CertTutor.net Live! (http://www.certtutor.net/forums)
On the issue of "overt patriotism and the olympics" - it is kinda part and parcel of the whole thing.
I imagine Athens will do it - and does anyone think that China won't turn the volume up?
I'm not sure how people felt about Sydney. Was there too much flag waving done there by Australians? Or is that the sort of thing that would be naturally filtered out by NBC anyway?
